William Kovacic founded Lifegate Baptist Church (which has morphed into The Upper Room) in June of 2001 and continues to serve as its pastor. He is a graduate of Centre Region Baptist College and holds a Doctor of divinity degree through Southern Indiana Baptist Seminary.
The main thrust of Pastor Kovacic's ministry is soul-winning and revival preaching. It is his desire to see an old-fashioned revival come to the town of Pleasant Gap and the glory of the Lord return. It is to this end that all the ministries of The Upper Room are directed.
Pastor Kovacic was saved at an early age and moved to Philadelphia in 1978 where he met his wife, Deborah. They were married October 18, 1980. The Kovacic's moved to Pennsylvania's Centre Region in 1990 and continued training for the ministry under the eye of other local pastors. Bill and Deb have four grown children, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Deborah Kovacic has been a very important asset to her husband's ministry. She was born and raised in Philadelphia's Northeast and was saved at the age of 20 through the door to door soul-winning efforts of a local Baptist church. She is involved in children's and women's counseling, as well as the ladies ministries of the church.
She has opened HeartFelt Christian Ministries, a counseling and teaching ministry for women. Personal counseling is available by contacting her via the contact form on this website. You can read more about the ministry on our "Ministries" page. Deb has studied at Northeast Baptist Institute, Centre Region Baptist College, and is a graduate of Light University with a degree in Biblical counseling. She is board certified through the International Board of Christian Counselors (IBCC) and is a member of the American Association of Chiristian Counselors (AACC). She holds a doctor of ministry degree from Centre Region Baptist College.
