William Kovacic founded Lifegate Baptist Church in June of 2001 and continues to serve as its pastor. A graduate of Centre Region Baptist College, he holds a Doctor of Divinity degree from Southern Indiana Baptist College. The Upper Room became part of Lifegate's ministry in March of 2024.
Pastor Kovacic's ministry primarily focuses on soul-winning and revival preaching. His desire is to see an old-fashioned revival take place and to witness the return of the glory of the Lord. All the ministries of The Upper Room are directed toward this goal.
Pastor Kovacic was saved at an early age and moved to Philadelphia in 1978, where he met his wife, Deborah. They were married October 18, 1980. In 1990, the Kovacic's moved to Pennsylvania's Centre Region, where they continued their ministry training under the guidance of local pastors. Bill and Deborah have four grown children, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Deborah Kovacic has been a valuable asset to her husband's ministry. Born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia,
she was saved at the age of 20 through the door-to-door soul-winning efforts of a local Baptist church. Deborah is involved in children's and women's counseling, as well as the ladies ministries of the church.
She founded HeartFelt Christian Ministries, a counseling and teaching ministry for women. Personal counseling services are available, and you can contact her through the contact form on the website. Deborah has studied at Northeast Baptist Institute, Centre Region Baptist College, and is a graduate of Light University where she holds a degree in Biblical counseling. She is board-certified through the International Board of Christian Counselors (IBCC), and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). She holds a doctor of ministry degree from Centre Region Baptist College.
